Main fields of research

Thorsten Wuthe started working as a research associate at the Institute for Security Systems in January 2021 in the new transfer project „Röntgenvideoanalyse“ (X-Ray Video Analysis). He will be mainly responsible for scientific investigations and optimization of materials. The key focus also will be the reproducibility of the developed procedure.


Scientific career

Thorsten Wuthe was born in Düsseldorf on January 30, 1988. After graduating from highschool, he studied Industrial Engineering as well as Mechanical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster followed by studies in Industrial Engineering Automotive at the University of Wuppertal where he graduated in September 2017 as M. Sc. He wrote his master thesis entitled „Design of a Braking System for an Electromechanical Door Check" at the Chair of Electrical Machines and Drives.


After graduation, Thorsten Wuthe worked as a development engineer at WITTE Automotive in Velbert in the field of predevelopment. With beginning of the year 2021, Thorsten Wuthe started working as a research associate in the project RVA, funded by means of the EU and the state NRW financed by EFRE.NRW.
